Snoring / Sleep Apnoea Treatment
Snoring is a loud noise caused by shortness of breath during sleep. The snoring is a disease that can be treated. Snoring is also called a social deficit because it disturbs not only the person affected but also the people around them. If there are breathing pauses of more than 10 seconds during snoring, it becomes a disease called sleep apnoea and should be considered.
Sleep Apnoea and Symptoms
The most obvious symptom of sleep apnoea is snoring. Since it occurs during sleep, it is not possible for the patient to recognise the condition themselves. The condition can, however, be recognised by the family or by people who are with the sufferer. Because chest movements continue when breathing stops, it is very difficult for outsiders to recognise that the patient is not breathing at all. In regular snoring, the sound suddenly stops and after being breathless for 10 seconds or more, the muscles contract and breathing resumes with a stronger sound. This condition is called sleep apnoea.
The most obvious symptom of sleep apnoea is excessive daytime sleepiness. Other symptoms of sleep apnoea: snoring, irritability, uncontrolled weight gain, high blood pressure, heartburn, forgetfulness, lack of concentration are the consequences of the disease. After sleep apnoea has been diagnosed, the most suitable treatment method is determined and its application is started.
