Ball head prostheses are, as the name suggests, removable prostheses. If there is not enough bone or for economic reasons, 2-4 implants are placed and a prosthesis with a snap fit is inserted.

With removable dentures with a ball head, two retainers, one male and one female, are attached to the teeth and the denture to be connected. The system with sensitive retainers is popularly known as a snap denture. It is a type of implanted precision retainer denture (snap denture).
