All On Six
All on six is an implant treatment. All on six, which is a fixed prosthetic technique, is used for patients with tooth loss by placing 6 implants. A single jaw is restored with 12-14 teeth on 6 implants. It can also be used without problems in patients with advanced jawbone problems.
Before the surgery, an X-ray of the patient’s mouth is taken and the treatment procedure is planned. The “all on six” technique has a longer lifespan compared to other implant models. That is why it is more advantageous than standard implants. The use of “All on six” offers the possibility of preserving healthy teeth in a single procedure. After the implants are placed, temporary dentures are attached to the teeth the same day. The implants are expected to fuse with the jaw in an average of 3 months. The treatment is then completed with the placement of fixed dentures.
One of the aspects that patients are curious about in All on-six treatments is the eating process. For the first 3 months that the temporary dentures are in place, care should be taken to eat foods with low hardness. After the fixed dentures are in place, it is safe to eat all types of food. It is normal to experience slight pain for the first 2-3 days after insertion.
The “All on six” implants can be used in all patients over the age of 18.
